The Altitude Conservation system tracks and makes location estimates for regular VHF transmitters, so systems can be extremely lightweight (<0.5g). The receiver can simultaneously locate up to 500 transmitters, and it uses the flight path and transmission strength to automatically geolocate transmitter positions.
